Finding the Leader Within—LEAP and LOFT Programming as Catalysts for Leadership Development
We are excited to open this parent chat to anyone who is interested in learning about our youth programs: LOFT and LEAP. This is an informative session where we have panelists who are deaf or hard of hearing, use listening and spoken language (LSL), and are alums of LOFT/LEAP. You will learn about our programs;,the positive impacts they have had on the panelist’s lives, and ask them questions.
- Students will be able to learn about the importance of leadership and self-advocacy skills through our programs such as LOFT (Leadership Opportunities for Teens) and LEAP (Learning Experience and Adventure Program).
- Students will be able to learn about the panelist’s hearing loss journeys and how our programs helped them grow.
- Parents will be able to learn about the importance of developing leadership and self-advocacy skills for their teens through our programs such as LOFT (Leadership Opportunities for Teens) and LEAP (Learning Experience and Adventure Program).
- Parents will be able to learn how to better support their teens as they navigate their hearing loss journey.
