LEAP for Middle School

Many teens who are deaf or hard of hearing and use Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) do not know another peer who also uses LSL. That’s exactly why LEAP was created. The Learning Experience and Adventure Program (LEAP) gives 6th-8th graders the opportunity to connect with and learn from other teens who share their lived experience. Plus, LEAP is led and facilitated by adults who have grown up using LSL. How cool is that?

AG Bell is seeking adult volunteers who are deaf or hard of hearing to serve as virtual LEAP Facilitators in 2026, mentoring middle school students with hearing loss through leadership-building, peer connection, and listening and spoken language-focused programming.
