In part, the AG Bell Global LSL Symposium is provided to assist professionals in their continuing education. Professionals can choose from 3 different types of CEUs:
AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language AG Bell is approved by the AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language to offer up to 15 CEUs for the in-person Symposium and 35.5 CEUs for the virtual Symposium. These units are applicable for LSLS® (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist) re-certification and may also be used by professionals seeking LSLS certification.
American Academy of Audiology (AAA) AG Bell is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity.
The live program is worth a maximum of 1.5 AAA CEUs.
The virtual program is worth a maximum of 3.55 AAA CEUs.
Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy’s Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) AG Bell is pre-approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to offer continuing education for this event.
1.5 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area) are available for the in-person Symposium.
3.55 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area) are available for the virtual Symposium.
ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures. The views expressed in the sessions are those of the presenters and do not necessarily reflect the positions of ASHA.
What requirements are there to earn CEUs?
In order to be awarded continuing education units or hours connected to the Symposium, a registered professional participant must follow this process:
Enroll in each session for which you want to attend.
After the session, complete the “Assessment” form. You must complete an Assessment for each session you attend and for which you want to earn CEUs.
At the end of the Symposium, enroll in the “Select your CEUs HERE” session and complete one final “Assessment” form.
Is there a deadline for submitting Session Assessment forms?
Each Session Assessment form must be completed no later than June 12, 2026, for the live symposium sessions. Each Session Assessment form must be completed no later than September 30, 2026, for the virtual symposium sessions. It is best to complete each form prior to the end of each session while learning has just occurred.
Do I have to fill out every question to earn CEUs?
Yes. You must answer every question, but do not need to be detailed or even use full sentences.
Can students earn CEUs?
No. Student attendees will not earn CEUs. To earn CEUs, you must register as a professional (member or non-member).
Is there anything else I need to know about earning CEUs?
Here is other important information about CEUs:
Understand that only those sessions listed as offering continuing education are eligible for continuing education. Not all Symposium sessions will be available for CEUs.
Session Assessment forms will be reviewed by AG Bell’s Continuing Education (CE) Administrator. The CE Administrator is quite familiar with the content being provided by session presenters and will review each assessment for learning about the content presented in that particular session.
Any verbatim listing on a Session Assessment form of the Learning Objectives listed on course details page is considered unsatisfactory for a given session and that participant will not be awarded continuing education for that session.
Understand that an attendee can be awarded continuing education units/hours only once per session and only for the full amount indicated for that particular session.
A participant who attends all days of the live symposium can earn CEUs provided that the participant attends each session in full and satisfactorily completes a Session Assessment form for each attended session. The same attendees can earn additional continuing education hours/units by attending sessions on demand that they did not attend during the live symposium.
You will be able to access the Virtual Symposium July27 – September 30, 2026.
A participant can register for the Symposium, not attend the “live” event, and still earn continuing education as long as that participant participates in the virtual Symposium and completes a Session Assessment form for each enrolled session.
