This presentation will explore auditory-verbal (AV) strategies for students who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) using Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) in general education classrooms and supported by teachers of the deaf. It will focus on practical AV approaches, adapting techniques, and addressing the unique challenges in a variety of educational settings.
By the end of this session, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the framework and foundational principles for promoting LSL in educational settings.
- Apply a variety of LSL strategies to school-age students in educational settings.
- Identify different scenarios where a child might need LSL intervention in an educational setting.
