The Young Leaders Board of AG Bell is hosting its first ever retreat! Please join us this summer in Texas for an adult “summer camp” retreat experience from August 9-11, 2024.
We will be in community with DHH (d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing) peers and have fun activities available such as hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, leadership development and more! Registration is all inclusive (not including airfare) for just $299!
General Retreat Information
August 9 – Arrival Day:
- Arrival. Group assembly and scenic ride to the HEB Foundation property.
- Settle into cabins, unpack, and relax.
- Orientation session to introduce the retreat’s schedule and facilities.
- Welcome dinner – a chance to meet fellow participants.
- Opening keynote session to set the inspirational tone for the retreat.
- Night activity (e.g., campfire, icebreaker games).
August 10 – Full Day of Activities:
- Breakfast
- Morning keynote session with a special guest speaker.
- First group activity
- Lunch
- Second group activity
- Free time/rest
- Dinner
- Evening keynote session with a focus on leadership development
- Night activity
August 11 – Departure Day:
- Breakfast and final gathering
- Cabin cleanup and packing
- Departure inspection to ensure all personal belongings are accounted for
- Farewell ceremony – a moment to reflect and share experiences
- Scheduled departures to San Antonio airport
