Empowering Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing: An Overview of AG Bell’s Programs

Date & Time:

February 19
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST

The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is excited to invite you to join us this Thursday, February 19, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. EST for a second session of Empowering Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In case you missed the first event, here’s another chance to join a comprehensive overview of AG Bell programs designed to support students who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families.

This informative session, led by experienced AG Bell staff, is designed for parents and professionals who work with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, including educators, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, counselors, and related service providers.

During this session, our presenters will provide an in-depth look at the valuable resources available through AG Bell that you can share with your students and the families you serve. We’ll explore our key programs, including:

  • Parent Support Line – Support to families navigating life with a child who is deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Financial Aid – Financial aid and scholarships for all ages, from preschool to graduate school, to help them live a life without limits
  • Youth Programs – Enriching experiences that build confidence, community, and skills for children and teens
  • Young Adult Programming – Connecting to a community that empowers young adults to develop leadership skills, build lifelong connections, and access valuable resources

You’ll hear about the meaningful impact these programs have had on families and individuals, and gain practical knowledge about how to connect those you serve with these resources.
